Peer Groups
Leadership Council facilitates high-caliber peer groups for motivated, growth-minded professionals and executives.
Our Framework. Your Journey.
Your Monthly Peer Group
Our executive peer groups meet 10-12 times a year. We are centrally located in St. Louis, Missouri but also offer virtual groups allowing nationwide membership. These thoughtfully planned meetings are facilitated to ensure everyone receives time to share and grow.
Professionally moderated presentations and discussions
Commitments by members that ensure that an environment of trust is maintained
Close community that can be relied upon for feedback, quick insights, and advice on urgent challenges
Member presentations
Guest Leaders and other custom curricula
Interactive roundtable discussions
Diverse Groups
Trust is an essential foundation of all peer groups; that’s why each group is carefully vetted to ensure no conflicts of interest.
Self Awareness
Through experience sharing and honest feedback, members can “show up” better for their lives, personally and professionally.
Skill Enhancement
Strengthen the skills that are essential for success such as active listening, conflict resolution, brand storytelling, and more.
About the Moderator
Amy Scharff is Leadership Council’s president and lead moderator. She has worked as a business writer, editor, and marketing executive for more than 20 years – including running her own writing business, being the Director of Marketing for COCA, and developing and writing websites for various e-business ventures. She has taught and led workshops in group dynamics, creative writing, communication, and leadership. Using her training in the same structure that Leadership Council uses, Amy ran teen peer groups at international leadership camps in Switzerland and facilitated SUIE’s Family Business Council.
Additionally, throughout her career, Amy had the privilege of being trained in peer-group moderating by one of Young Presidents Organization (YPO)’s original Forum training authors, an international consultant on group dynamics. Through her unique combination of training, values, education, practice, and dedication to maximize Members’ take-away, Amy orchestrates unparalleled depth and growth in every group.
Testimonials
“I just love being able to have the group to talk to about anything. It’s nonjudgmental. I don’t have that outlet anywhere else. I can get feedback whether it’s constructive or just empathetic. You have a group of people who are in your corner, with no other agenda than for them to be there for you.”– Kerri M., Chief Human Resources Officer
“Leadership Council helps me see different perspectives. No matter what I think I know, I always hear a different side of it. Some perspectives are more factual and some are more emotional – I can hear completely different responses from people, and I may not have thought of any of it on my own.” – Jen C., Partner, VP Ops, General Manager
“The 2 years I’ve been in LC equates to well over a decade of experience that you’d learn over time. I appreciate all the great input! It has truly rounded out my thought process and given me perspective that I wouldn’t otherwise have. We’re so focused in our areas, but this group allows ways to think past where I could on my own.“ – Holly B., Director of Sales
