Frequently Asked Questions
How long are the peer group meetings?
Prior to the pandemic, each session was 4.5 hours long and included a meal. To accommodate quarantine during the pandemic, we transitioned our sessions to a virtual environment and shortened them to 2.5 hours (or longer with more breaks). Our scheduled virtual meetings are subject to change, and we poll and notify members about schedule changes as needed.
How long are the Leadership Council meetings?
All in-person Leadership Council meetings are 4.5 hours long and include a meal at the beginning. Virtual Leadership Council meetings are 2.5- to 3-hour long Zooms. All meetings, in-person and virtual, have at least one break in the middle to keep people physically comfortable and allow check-ins with office or family.
When are the monthly meetings?
Each group has their own specific schedule for monthly meetings. Once a group is formed, we will meet consistently each month on the same day at the same time. This allows you to commit time on your busy schedule in advance.
What do we talk about in Leadership Council?
In general, LC content tends to be about 80% professional and 20% personal, but any topic or subject matter is fair game. Inside your small group of fellow leaders, we facilitate and encourage meaningful conversations about anything that may keep us up at night, personally or professionally. There is always something to learn.

What if I don’t have anything to talk about?
Every meeting has an agenda and is professionally facilitated so the conversation will stay active and engaging. Whether you’re bringing forth your own challenges or listening to someone else’s, there is always experience, feedback, and knowledge to share.
It’s my first session; do I need to prepare anything?
No, you’ll receive an orientation with all the guidance you need prior to your first meeting. Also, every member receives an agenda before each monthly meeting.
How much does it cost to join?
Our annual dues are $7,600 – or an investment of approximately $633.33 per month. For more details on membership, visit Membership Page
Will I lose my membership if I miss a session?
No. We expect our members to attend all sessions, but also know that emergencies are unavoidable. If you find that you need to miss a session, regardless of circumstance, reach out to let us know with as much advance notice as possible.
How are Council groups formed?
We gather small groups of high-level executives and carefully vet each member, making sure they are the right fit for the group. It is important to ensure that there are no conflicts of interest between group members.
Can I form a Leadership Council out of my own work group?
Yes, this can work a number of ways. Many companies and organizations have groups of leaders they want to bring to us. Usually, members from the same company are placed in separate LC groups, but we also can form internal LC groups for a company. We still vet the individual leaders within the organization and determine the best combination of people and groups.
Will the information and content of our monthly meetings be confidential?
Absolutely. We cannot stress this enough, as it is the cornerstone of a trusted peer group. Knowledge and experiences will be shared in confidence unless express consent by members is given.
Can I network with the people in my group?
While LC is not a networking group, each member gains access to a group directory, and we encourage our members to engage with each other outside of the monthly meetings. While all meeting content is confidential, the fact of group membership is not. However, we require that people not solicit other group members or share others’ contact information without explicit permission.
Can non-members sit in on a session?
Because we prioritize privacy and confidentiality, we typically only allow members to attend meetings for their pre-assigned groups. There are occasional exceptions to this, including our Guest Leader program, in which seasoned leaders can come to a member meeting to share their leadership stories with the group. If you are interested in becoming a Guest Leader, reach out to [email protected].
